Fashion Trend: 40s Elegance | We can't get enough of Leopard prints, Grrrrr!

This Fall/ Winter 2011-2012 Fashion trend is all about elegance.

Everyone knows that Fashion repeats itself. It is recycled every year and nothing is ever new. This fall/winter, 40s elegance is again, another trend that is HOT! Designers such as Miu Mio, John Galliano, Gucci and many more wasted no time realizing this trend.

SPOTLIGHT | Fall/Winter 2011/2012: Colours: Sky blue

Blue just looks good on just about everyone, it matches with just about anything, pops out on black especially.

Designers usually prefer using neutral or reserved colours, the obvious: black, brown, navy, cream. However, this fall/winter 2011-2012, collections abound in brighter hues. We should expect neon orange, purple, sky blue and many more. Alberta Ferretti, Tommy Hilfiger, Burberry Prorsum are some designers who are already on track with this trend.

(P.S: Someone please remind me never to wear wedges to work again. Moving fixtures and turning the store upside down is NOT sexy in heels)

Yellow & Denim

It has been a while since I had an OOTD post. I convinced myself that I would put a 100% into my blog but it is proving hard to do so with so much going on.

This gorgeous pleated skirt was picked out of a charity shop a few weeks back for only £3, if I remember clearly. It is a size 16 but I had been looking for a yellow pleated skirt for the longest and so I bought it regardless (thank God for my mother's sewing machine), a few tacking in here and there and voila, the perfect fit.

...Untitled

Just a quick post to say hiiiiii!
It has been a busy week and so I haven't had much time to take any pictures, my apologies.

Anyway, as I don't have any OOTD pictures to post, I might as well post these ones up. I have been dying to do it ever since I saw VV brown with the same hairstyle about 2 years ago and I finally had the courage to do it.

Casual

Casual day out shopping with my girl for her birthday outfit so I thought i'd throw on a playsuit and some converses for comfort
(I ended up swapping the converses for some flat pumps just before I left)

Can I just say, Stratford Westfield is a waste of space and time.

Wedding Weekend at the Hilton

Last Saturday, I got invited to a wedding which took place at The Hilton where I caught up with old time friends. Beautiful venue and lots of wine which made me happy :)

(I know black stiletto heels would have gone better with this outfit, but I didn't have any so I had to settle with these lilac ones)

Rock & Roll

Heeeeeeeey FABULOUS readers. I have been soo busy I haven't even had a chance to update my blog *tear drop*.
My apologies.

I am honey blonde now (WHAAAY HAAY)

So last week, I had had the opportunity to intern with Fashion156 as an assistant stylist, prepping for LFW and so on and it was A LOT of hard work but fun!!!! The running around, collecting designer pieces from one end of London to the other, running to PR agencies, Blow PR being my fav (the guy was so lovely), drove me insane but no one said Fashion Styling was easy!

By the way, I've got all black on because I was in a very shitty mood.

Anyway, if I remember clearly, this was day 2 at Fashion156 and my outfit for the day. Luckly, I got away with wearing heels because I sat in the office collecting street style images for the website *Phew*

Colour Blocking

Hey dolls,

So this is today's OOTD. I thought I'd throw some colours on today to work. The skirt is actually a dress from Primark that I have had for about 2 years and I thought why not since I couldn't find a skirt that colour.

I felt the sandals didn't really go with the outfit but I had no choice, I didn't have anything better to wear, ah well.

oh and by the way, I must say 2True do quality nail polishes. I've had on this muddy shade 9 since Saturday and it is yet to chip.

Goodbye Barry M, HELLO 2True ^_^

Welcome back

As you guys might have noticed, I rarely ever have my hair weave in for long, it changes almost every other week lol

Anyway so I'm back to long red highlighted weave with half my side shaved off. Now I shaved off my hair back in April/May I think and since then it has refused to grow back.

It's only hair anyway, it will grow back (I hope).

This electric blue shirt was found waiting for me in a charity shop. Bought them for £2.99
I also picked up these River Island black suede-effect gladiator for £15 in the sale

D.I.Y Studded Shirt

I think this was the outfit I wore to work (Day 3) and the amount of compliments I got on my studded shirt ^_^

I bought the studs from http://www.josyrose.com/ £1.99 for 10 grams. Each pack came with 30 pieces and so I bought 2. I could only do half of the collar as the studs wasn't enough but it ended up looking hot.

Look out for a step by step post on how I did attached the studs, it was pretty simple but time consuming.

The trouser shorts were a fabulous find from Beyond Retro, Soho for only £15
